This poker variation is very similar to Texas Hold'Em, and is one of the most popular games played in online casinos. In Casino Hold'Em, you don't play against players, but against the banker only. Nevertheless, the house edge in Casino Hold'em varies between 2% and 2.5%.
Casino Hold'Em Rules
In the beginning, each player makes an Ante wager, after which the dealer gives two hole cards to himself and to the players and deals three community cards face up on the table.
Then, everyone needs to decide whether to fold or call. If someone folds, he gives up his cards and the bet. If you call, your bet must be equal to two times the Ante bet.
Afterwards the dealer will deal two more community cards, for a total of five, and will turn over his own cards.
The player's hand and the dealer's will be ranked according the highest value of the hole cards and community cards.
The dealer must score a pair of fours or better to qualify. In case he doesn't, the Ante will be paid according to the table and the call bet will push. If he qualifies and beats the player, the player will lose the ante and the call. When he qualifies, but doesn't beat the player, the ante will pay according to the table and the call bet will pay 1 to 1. If the dealer qualifies, and the score is tied, both ante and call will push.
Strategy
Since the decision for each hand is based on the combination of all 7 cards, both personal and community, there is no viable strategy. The only strategy that mathematicians have found is that you should call in 82% of the cases, and fold only when you have weak cards in only 18%.
The rarest the hand, the more money a player wins. For example, royal flush is 100 to 1, straight flush is 20 to 1, four of a kind is 10 to 1, full house 3 to 1, flush 2 to 1, and straight or less the standard 1 to 1.
Experts suggest you call with: Ace or King High, Flush draw or straight draw, two Over Cards (when your hole cards are higher than all the cards currently on board) and Queen Jack High. You should fold when the board is paired and you hold ten high or worse, or you hold unpaired low cards with no pair, flush or straight draw on board.
Card Rankings
Ace is the highest ranked card in Casino Hold'em, and the rankings runs down kings, queens, jacks, all the way to 2.
The combinations are the following: pair (any two of the same rank), two pairs (two sets of the same rank), three of a kind (three cards of the same rank), straight (five cards in sequential rank order 3,4,5,6,7), flush (five cards of the same suit), full house (a pair and three of a kind), four of a kind (four of the same rank), straight flush (straight with cards in same suit), royal flush (straight flush with 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace).
