Casino War Rules

Casino War is a casino variation of the card game war. Casino War is one of the simplest games in casinos today. The game is usually played with 6 standard 52- card decks. The card value is the same as in poker, but the ace is always high and it is the most valued card.

The Rules

The rules of Casino War game are very simple. Before the deal each player must place his bet. When the betting is completed each player is dealt one card. The dealer also deals himself a card. All cards are face up. After the initial deal the dealer begins to compare his card with the player cards starting form his left side. If the player has a card with a higher value that one of the dealer, the player wins 1 to 1 on his bet. In case that dealer's card has a higher value that the player, the player loses his bet.

Ties

Casino War RulesIf the dealer and anyone of the players are dealt the same value card, the player has two possibilities. First is to surrender (loses his half bet and the hand ends) or to go at war with the dealer. To go at war with the dealer, the player must make a raise bet (double his primary bet). When the player makes the raise bet (doubles his bet), the dealer deals new cards to the player and himself. If the player`s new card is with a higher value or its tie again, in that situation the player is paid 1 to 1 on his raise bet and his primary bet is determined as a push (is returned to the player). If the dealer`s new card has a higher value than the player`s new card, the player loses all bets.

Tie Bet and House Edge

Casino War also has a side bet. If the player makes a tie bet and the dealer and the player receive same value cards the player wins 10 to 1 on his bet. In this game the player and the house have an equal chance of winning or 46.3% with 6 decks in play. IN most cases, the usual house edge is about 2%.
